While much of our professional dialogue points structural engineers towards a traditional consulting role, our skills and training can also open doors to further specialization, alternative roles, and entirely different professions. The Younger Members Group welcomes four current and former structural engineers in non-traditional practice areas, to share their daily experiences and stories of their career paths. Whether you are already practicing in an alternative role, considering options, or just curious about the diaspora of structural engineering graduates, everyone has something to learn from those who took the road less traveled.
