A FORUM FOR FUTURE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

This free event held in Washington, DC on September 24, 2021 will be a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to learn more about the structural engineering profession, connect with other local structural engineering students, meet with local professionals, participate in the career fair, and get exposure to future potential employers. The program will include presentations by local engineers and a keynote speech by Nat Oppenheimer, PE, Senior Vice President of Silman. Presentations will touch on a variety of introductory and in-depth topics within the field of Structural Engineering. There will also be a career fair attended by many of the premier local (and global) structural engineering firms. With the local construction market heating up and structural engineering offices busier than ever, this will be a great opportunity to get your resume in the hands of local companies and secure a full-time or internship position for the coming year.

Please note that to best protect the health and safety of students, presenters, and career fair representatives, all attendees at Next Step 2021 will be required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination at event check in. There will be a 100 student limit for Next Step 2021, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Deadline: September 17
